Summer break is a great opportunity to continue practicing writing--one of the most important academic skills students can master. With our summer writing pathways, your child(ren) benefit from 4-6 additional weeks of explicit writing instruction to sharpen their writing skills before the next school year. Although all of our instructional tools and learning materials are online, students can print copies and work offline if you would like to reduce screen time.
Writers are given a weekly writing plan. Each plan includes tools and resources to complete each task.
Writers receive personalized feedback on their writing each week. The feedback is provided in writing and/or in recorded video. An award-winning writing coach walks your child through strengths and opportunities. Writers can see their coaches' edits, suggestions, and comments as they are being discussed.
Your child receives kid-friendly rubric scoring and feedback on each criterion in the rubric.
We also deliver personalized and specific feedback to help your child get better at a specific writing skill.
Thank you so much for teaching and guiding me this summer in your program. Now that I'm in high school, it's really given me an extra head start over everyone else. I really appreciate all the audio feedback and the time you put into the program. In regards to the first piece (the one about the moon titan,) I'll be continuing to write it in my free time. - Student
The camp is personal, even though it’s online. The kids didn’t complain about the writing assignments and even brought up the questions to discuss at dinner. Thanks for making writing fun! - Parent
I really loved all the instructional videos and support documents. Both of these resources really proved helpful when it was time to write. - Parent
The personalized feedback was really helpful and specific to my son’s needs. - Parent
We liked the variety of writing styles and the encouragement to improve on their own terms. - Parent
Jessica said this was more work than she had done in the last 3 months of school during the pandemic. Lol! She liked the weekly 20 min writing assignments. She found them enjoyable. She felt the video feedback was very helpful. Thank you for letting her participate in your program! It was a great learning opportunity to strengthen her writing skills. - Parent
Was nice to get Asher working on his writing with a coach who can give direct and constructive feedback. - Parent
Loved how the program was easy to follow. It helped it was the same structure each week. Beginning with marking the prompt, and so forth. The instructional videos for each topic was very well created. It wasn’t too long (As you keep the attention of a 3rd grader) but very thorough. It was also great to actually see the instructor in the video talking while being able to see the screen they were trying to teach.
It was so nice to meet you both virtually and it felt like we knew you before starting the course. Please keep us in mind for next summer, we’d love to do it again (from Chicago) if offered virtually. Thank you! - Parent
Organized and reasonably priced. - Parent
The lesson videos were helpful for the boys as they edited and added more to their writings. Awesome job LeMasters! - Parent

Having an advocate to help navigate the college entrance process is invaluable. Whether your son/daughter is applying to a state college, university, or private institution, writing a college entrance essay can be challenging. The timing is never good and families don't know where to start. Families ask, "What are colleges looking for? What makes a great essay? What makes one essay standout from all of the rest?" We can help answer these and other important questions. Most importantly, we can teach students how to write a great essay!
Most college entrance essays are due in the fall. That means, seniors should make writing this essay a priority during first semester of their senior year. We recommend, however, that students start brainstorming ideas and writing parts of the essay in the spring of their junior year of high school. Don't worry. We will explain all of this.
It's best to sign up when your child is a junior. If your child is a senior going into this school year, don't panic. There is time to write the essay. Contact us today to get started. jonathan@lemasteredu.com
